L.S.G - Blueprint [Superstition Records]

Originally released in 1994, L.S.G.'s 'Blueprint EP', containing "Hearts" and "Blueprint", remains an undisputed benchmark for an entire musical genre. It was one of the most successful releases at the time and, indeed, a role model for what was to come. The man behind L.S.G. and other projects is Oliver Lieb, one of the most talented producers of electronic music. The two tracks perfectly showcase L.S.G.'s haunting sound creations in flawless production, and all his skills are on full display in this EP. "Hearts" is a gut-wrenching tune with a distorted bassline and an evolving melancholic arpeggio. "Blueprint" adds even more depth, tension, and mystery before unleashing its incredibly gated synths and this famous melody. It's incredible how perfect the sounds are, both in terms of musicality and harmony, as well as mixing and mastering.

After its last press 25 years ago, here is the new official edition, remastered by Oliver Lieb and on colored vinyl.
