A well-deserved second release in Poker Flat’s vinyl-only series for Thanasis Voulgaris, aka Kindimmer. Greek-born, Berlin-based, Kindimmer moves fluidly between raw house and quality techno, always in tune with the dance floor's inexhaustible energy.

The Occhiolism EP brings us four equally impressive and totally diverse cuts. ‘The Subject’ is an atmospheric and repetitive house piece, with crisp snares and bubbling basslines. ‘Anxiety Society’ leans into a grittier and more aggressive sound, designed to wreak havoc in peak time with its sharp percussion and relentless kick-bass-snare foundation. ‘Your Name of Choice’ takes its cue from classic two-step breaks, adding layers of chopped vocals, synths, and effects.

Last but not least, ‘Stanza 103’ is a full-blown banger, starting with a hypnotic techno pulse and evolving into a more sophisticated groove thanks to meticulous drum programming and enveloping pads reminiscent of the Detroit greats.

Ultimately, Kindimmer offers us an incredible window into his sonic universe, and a must-have vinyl.
