KinAhau ft. Luke Cusato - Under the Flowerpot [Crosstown Rebels]

KinAhau returns to Crosstown Rebels with his expansive new single Under the Flowerpot, featuring Luke Cusato. Backed by a cosmic, synth-laden remix from Perel, the release drops on the label. Having debuted on Crosstown Rebels with his remix of Airrica’s Hi Speed Lover last year, hotly tipped prodigy KinAhau now presents his first full solo release for the label. Under the Flowerpot captures a moment of raw honesty and transition for the young Mexican artist, showcasing a more expansive, song-driven direction, in collaboration with UK vocalist Luke Cusato.

The single was born during a turbulent period, penned after a panic attack shortly after moving to Rome. That sense of fragility and release runs through the track, combining Cusato’s emotive vocal line with KinAhau’s sweeping production to create a cut that blurs the lines between club energy and confessional songwriting. For remix duties, Damian Lazarus welcomes Perel to Crosstown Rebels. A unique voice in the electronic landscape, carving her own path with a genre-blurring approach, her remix is energetic, synth-led and imbued with her signature retro-futuristic touch, channeling cosmic energy and slow-burning tension for dancefloors that relish intense depths and rhythmic drive.

Aged just 22, KinAhau’s journey has already taken him from handing Solid Grooves founder Michael Bibi a USB disguised as a litter picker, to playing DC10, Fabric, Space Miami and Mayan Warrior. His breakthrough collaboration Different Side with Bibi and Audio Bullys brought his name to global stages, whilst his 2024 mixtape, comprising old demos, drafts and edits, showcased a more confessional, unfiltered side to his sound. Under the Flowerpot, however, feels like a deeper statement, one not built on hype, but on personal exploration.
