Kevin Saunderson featuring Inner City - Future (Detroit Mixes) [Defected]

In 2011, Kevin Saunderson, Ann Saunderson, and Paris Grey —collectively known as the legendary band Inner City— released Future, their first entirely new material since taking a break in 1996. The track was written and produced in collaboration with another Detroit legend, Kenny Larkin, and the talented producer and remixer Orlando Voorn. The song marked a long-awaited return for a group that successfully combined the hard, futuristic rhythms of the Detroit scene with the vocal energy of R&B and gospel, helping to define an era when house and techno transitioned from underground phenomena to chart-topping hits, paving the way for hundreds of dance music successes.

Kenny Larkin's remix was a hit on dancefloors at the time and continues to be more than a decade after its release. Now, it is being fully re-released, accompanied by Carl Craig's edited version included in the original edition and the MK AW Deep Dub, which until now had only been released on a single-sided, hand-stamped white vinyl.
