Kerala Dust announces the release of their debut album Light, West,
to be released on Denature Records.

After six releases and three years of extensive touring across Europe and America, the Berlin-based live trio, fronted by producer and songwriter Edmund Kenny, takes an ambitious and expansive turn with Light, West. A groove-laden soundtrack for a film that was never made, this record feels like the most comprehensive overview of Kerala Dust's diverse influences and inspirations, fused into something entirely unique.

Beginning with the guitar-driven blues-house of Night, Bell (Arizona) and diving straight into the club with Evening Redness, the album then journeys through an intoxicating collage of bolero (Amsterdam), techno (Reflected) and 60s funk ballads (Phoebe).

The result of a year and a half of work, the most striking aspect of the record might be that all these diverse musical nuances manage to feel like part of one large, interconnected musical narrative.
