Kavinsky - ProtoVision EP [Record Makers]

Kavinsky continues his electro-sleaze assault with ProtoVision, the first single from his debut album OutRun on the Record Makers label. The production is loaded with theatrical retro synths and punchy drum programming.

The 12” vinyl includes some unexpected and interesting versions:

• The Red Sky Mix features vocals by STS, who caught Kavinsky’s attention when he recorded verses over Nightcall.

• Boys Noize contributes his characteristic aggressive approach, modifying the chord progression and taking the track to full power.

• Blood Orange, who at the time was working on his solo project, adds his signature touch of melodic and elegant pop.

• Last but not least, Sébastien Tellier gives a symphonic twist to ProtoVision, giving it the epic vibe the song clearly deserves.
