Founded in 1988 by Frank Mendez and Karen Mendez as a vehicle for the prolific creative output of The Burrell Brothers, legendary NYC label Nu Groove Records was relaunched in 2021, reclaiming its cult status and quickly becoming a home to pioneers of the genre.

Today, its impressive catalogue continues to grow with fellow New Yorker Jovonn’s return to the label with his “Syndicate Deep EP”, a four-track release showcasing the house master’s deep, pioneering, and eclectic electronic grooves, including his Comon Remix update of “Random”, one of the tracks that relaunched the label.
