Here comes the first EP by Josh Ludlow for Toy Tonics. The mastermind behind Make a Dance aka M.A.D. Records. London’s best kept secret (or not so secret anymore) of new underground dance weapons that are played by everyone who counts in the scene.

Josh delivers a hot 4 track EP that will get people moving on dancefloors worldwide. Combining influences from 90s filterhouse, 2000s indie dance and some of the modern edgy contemporary funk touches that are lighting up clubs these days. The post-techno generation prefers it funky, and Josh delivers it perfectly. This EP, which fits perfectly with the Toy Tonics vibe, will find many friends. Indeed, Josh knows how things work.

Josh Ludlow has been honing his craft for the past 15 years. He started releasing Drum & Bass under the name ‘Squash!’ in the late 2000s, whilst also playing drums in bands. The former gave way to live touring, and it was only in 2020 that Josh re-emerged with new electronic music.

The impetus to release this new material came when Josh Ludlow and Ben Lewis formed their beloved “Make A Dance” project (which then became the label) M.A.D. Records during the pandemic. Since then, M.A.D has made a massive splash on the underground scene, becoming regulars at venues such as Fabric, Heidegluhen, Gottwood, and garnering support from DJs such as Laurent Garnier, Optimo, Palms Trax, and Peggy Gou, as well as being regularly featured on BBC Radio 1 and covering NTS shows for hosts Moxie and Apiento.

This is only the beginning.
