No Speakers scores a massive coup here by signing a Detroit legend from Underground Resistance's Galaxy 2 Galaxy. This artist has shared stages with key figures such as Jeff Mills, Carl Craig, and Goldie, so their credentials are beyond doubt. Their characteristic fusion of jazz and electronic fire burns brightly on this release, with the A-side bombshells, "Layers to This" and "Bridgehouse," designed both to destroy during peak time and to become future classics. Flipping the vinyl reveals a remix by L.A. Synthesis from South London. Old hands at releasing their own iconic techno, here they twist the material into otherworldly soundscapes. Label boss El Prevost closes the EP with a wild version of "Bridgehouse," dark and twisted in all the right ways.
