Johnny Kick's "Come On" EP, released by Rawax Germany, is a vibrant homage to the early 90s rave sound. Side 1 kicks off with Burnin, a track that blends classic house and techno with powerful melodic chords, in the vein of MK or Nu Groove. This is followed by Come On, which takes a fun and witty approach to UK breakbeat style, evoking the energy of 808 State. On Side 2, Alright perfectly recreates the early 90s techno rave sound with classic samples. Closing the EP is Everybody, a breakbeat floor-filler with keyboards that pay huge tribute to Outlander's Vamp. Each track captures the nostalgic essence of the rave era, but with a modern punch.
