Jimpster - The Phoenix EP [Nu Groove Records]

British DJ, producer, and label head Jimpster makes his debut on the iconic Nu Groove label in 2025 with a new set of four original tracks, The Phoenix EP, now available on vinyl. In this four-track collection, Jimpster demonstrates over two decades of production experience, beginning with the title track which offers a sound designed for the underground scene: “The Phoenix” builds a precise groove through the ebb and flow of overlapping rhythmic patterns.

It is followed by “Lightening In Me”, which features the vocals of Oliver Night, an electronic artist and songwriter from East London whose work has been championed by luminaries such as Kerri Chandler, Gilles Peterson, and Honey Dijon. Closing the EP are “Beat Of An Era” and “You Got My Love”, two selected cuts that highlight Jimpster’s mastery of the deep house scene, enriched with ethereal synths and jazz touches.
