Jehan - TV Screen EP [Blur]

French producer Jehan is next to arrive at Blur Records with his new EP, TV Screen, demonstrating a sophisticated approach to merging free jazz with electronica and his love for hip-hop. The latter is evident from the title of the opening track, ‘92 Till Infinity’, where relaxed keys combine with even more languid beats and soul-infused vocals. Montre Suisse (featuring Donnie Moustaki) presents dusty beats that seem on the verge of collapse, held together by warm organ chords, while You Win (featuring Scruscru & Meowsn) brings a sweet, yet attitude-filled deep house vibe. On the flip side, the EP keeps the fire low and the nocturnal feelings with a trio of smitten, well-sampled beats plunged into a state of pure bliss.
