Jarau - Dubnova (incl. Dewalta Remix) [One Records]

Mennie and Julien Sandre join forces under their Jarau alias to present an impressive EP on One Records. Dubnova includes two original tracks full of hypnotic synths, warm bass lines, and spatial and intricate layers. For the remix, sonic artisans DeWalta and Voigtmann reunite for the first time since their monumental EP Ground Effect on Jan Krüger’s Hello? Repeat label in 2014, showing here the more techno side of their production.

Friends and colleagues, Mennie and Julien started the Jarau project in 2017 with the intention of experimenting and breaking creative barriers. In 2018 they released their EP Interstellar on the respected vinyl label Pleasure Zone, now followed by this powerful work on One Records. A Tenax resident, Mennie was named by DJ Mag as one of the most prominent emerging Italian producers. Born in France and now based in Italy, Julien runs the acclaimed vinyl label Blind Box, founded in 2015.

DeWalta, also known as David Koch, is the head of the Meander label and one of the most admired artists on the scene. Besides being a talent behind the decks, he offers a remarkable live set and has released abundant music on renowned underground labels. Claus Voigtmann, born in Germany and currently based in London, is co-founder of the conceptual and underground party Toi.Toi.Musik. This year he is releasing his long-awaited album, also focusing on his label Subsequent, and continues to play regularly alongside Adam Shelton and Subb-an at One Records showcases.
