On Figure X45 we introduce an exciting new artist, Jancen. With only a few releases under his belt, this promising young Dutchman delivers impeccable productions that hover between the deep and the danceable, always powerful and energetic, yet with a strong sense of groove permeating all of his music.

His opener, Quintessence, leans into the hypnotic, distilling the effect of a simple and captivating loop reduced to the beauty of its essential elements. Picking up the pace is Elusive, which bounces hard as it rides a funky acid riff, transforming the track into one of those unexpected mid-session energy-boosting moments.

On the B-side, Jancen shows his talent for building mind-expanding dub-techno excursions, as the echoes of Diminished Dub unfold—and even includes some driving percussion on top! The final track, Unattributed, takes us deep down the rabbit hole into atmospheric, psychedelic territories, as scorching hi-hats pave the way to the very heart of the monster.
