Jack Tennis - AG 01 [Art Groupie]

Berlin's Jack Tennis is back, and he's bringing the heat once again with a quartet of tracks brimming with funk and dancefloor energy. He's already impressed with his work on labels like Midnight Riot and Too Slow To Disco, and now he's launching his own imprint, Art Groupie. 'Astrud Got It All' opens with thumping drums and raw brass, complemented by shimmering strings and a seductive vocal, while 'Hey Gwen' is more laid-back, slow, sun-drenched, and sublime with its relaxed horns and mid-tempo grooves. Next comes an edit, 'California, Shake It,' which is loose and flowing, and the closer, 'Believe in You,' is an uplifting track with pleasing flute leads and a healthy dose of old-school vocal soul.
