Rotterdam-based Emmanuel's ARTS imprint is an independent techno project discreetly pushing the genre's boundaries. Introversion has released here before in 2022 with his 12” ‘Hush’, and has since appeared on labels such as Fundaments and Makatoo, steadily reinforcing his reputation. This new release opens with ‘Laeddis’, a galloping, full-throttle techno funk, with big, oversized hi-hats. ‘Found Footage’ is a rawer cut, with overlapping kick drums and muted trance chords on top. Then, ‘Tesseract’ comes across as more polished and supercharged, ready for a futuristic assault. Finally, ‘Signs’ closes with mind-bending, flexible synth patterns that weave with ethereal percussions and a hard-hitting, rubbery kick drum, achieving true techno perfection.
