Hyper Go Go - High (Remixes) [Hooj]

 It’s only been 30 years since Hyper Go Go’s “High” burst into life, combining the best of Italo House and rave into a lush, dancefloor-destroying piano anthem.

It’s had the occasional remix since, but with the 90’s revivalism machine in full swing at the moment, it’s only right that “High” gets an update for 2023/24, and it’s fitting that lead remixer, twenty one year old Kyle Starkey, wasn’t born until ten years after its initial release.

And the youngster pulls no punches, ripping the original apart with pumping 135 bpm drums, huge drops, some cheeky snare rolls and plenty of drama, for an all-out hands-in-the-air update.

Another remix comes from rapidly rising Scottish duo testpress, who strip things back slightly, working the original riffs around a pounding beat and sticky new synth line.

The rave-heavy 1992 Cloud 9 original mix gets a fresh intro / remaster, and the original is present and correct to complete.
