After operating as an exclusively digital imprint for a while, Hotmood's Discoweey label finally makes its vinyl debut – and does so with a selection of the Mexican producer's most beloved re-edits from the last few years. Often reinterpreting little-known disco cuts, the edits showcased here are well-worked and only lightly tweaked for 21st century dancefloors.

He begins by delivering a freshly extended take on Ya Ta Olvide, a brass-heavy Spanish disco number that's as infectious and irresistible as it is heavy and funk-fuelled, before dropping DDD, a sweat-soaked, percussion-rich disco-not-disco cut. Funk Party is a rolling, energetic disco-house jam that makes use of elements from various tracks from the disco and boogie eras (including one from Positive Force), while D.R.E.A.M.I.N.G rockets a bona-fide independent boogie-era classic into orbit, with predictably peak-time-ready results.
