Hilit Kolet and The Illustrious Blacks join forces for the "Transatlantic Kiki" EP, due out in late August via Rekids, with remixes by Floorplan.

London-based artist Hilit Kolet returns to Rekids collaborating with The Illustrious Blacks, the New York duo formed by Manchildblack and Monstah Black, on the Transatlantic Kiki EP, to be released on August 29, 2025, under Radio Slave's label, Rekids. The legendary father-daughter duo Floorplan signs the remix of the single, following up on Kolet's acclaimed Snap Talk EP (2024), supported by artists such as Dam Swindle, Chloé Caillet, Bradley Zero, and many more.

With lyrics connecting London and New York, Transatlantic Kiki is a powerful, funk-laden track, true to Hilit Kolet's signature production style, enhanced by the unmistakable energy and personality of The Illustrious Blacks' playful and vogue-esque vocals. Hypnotic, audacious, and irresistible, the duo also delivers a First Class version that introduces new vocal elements not present in the original, intensifying its impact and pushing the dance floor to its limits.

Robert and Lyric Hood, known as Floorplan, reinterpret Hilit Kolet & The Illustrious Blacks' Transatlantic Kiki with a vision as infectious as the original, transforming its rhythm into a percussive cut ideal for late nights. With synth stabs and vocal fragments over an energetic groove, the remix culminates in a true House anthem to get lost dancing, also accompanied by an instrumental version.

Originally from London, Hilit Kolet began her journey at the now-defunct Soho Black Market Records store, and since then has established herself as a key figure in the London House scene with releases on Defected, Snatch!, Domino, and Rekids, reaching number 1 on Music Week's Upfront Club Chart and receiving support from BBC Radio 1, Jamie Jones, HAAi, Skream, among others.

The New York duo The Illustrious Blacks, made up of Manchildblack and Monstah Black, combine Afro-Electro, Funk, Disco, and House in their productions for labels such as Soul Clap, Classic Music Company, and Defected, in addition to collaborating with artists such as Osunlade and other prominent names in electronic music.
