Hector Couto joins Cécille Records this summer with the hard-hitting Hot Stuff EP, featuring a collaboration with Alejandro Paz and three solo tracks.

Spanish artist Hector Couto has been a key figure in the underground house scene since the early 2000s, with releases on labels such as Hot Creations, BPitch, Defected, Solä, Saved, ElRow, and, of course, his own Roush imprint, among others. Now he adds another renowned label to his list: Cécille, the influential German label run by Nick Curly and Marc Scholl, which has also been a pillar in the scene since the early 2000s.

The EP opens with a special collaboration that has already caused a stir in South America. The original vocal from Alejandro Paz's "El House," released 12 years ago on the beloved Cómeme label, became a cult classic. Here, Hector revives it and integrates it into his signature raw and refined house style. It's followed by "Cami's House," with wavering basslines, shuffled snares, crisp percussion, and resonant flashes over dub chords and hypnotic vocal hooks.

The B-side opens with "Hot Stuff," which leans into a filter-house aesthetic with chopped soul samples and swinging drums. Finally, "Red Velvet" closes the release with funky guitars, organic percussive grooves, enveloping basslines, and nervous synths.
