WRWTFWW Records is proud to present the first official worldwide reissue of the debut album by legendary Japanese singer-songwriter, actress, and writer Hako Yamasaki, Tobimasu.

This limited 180g vinyl edition comes in a thick sleeve with original artwork, while the digipack CD version includes a bonus track. Tobimasu is also available in digital formats.

Originally released in 1975 by the mythical independent label Elec Records, Tobimasu is a masterpiece of melancholy, driven by one of the most beautiful, poignant, and ethereal voices in the history of Japanese music. At just 18 years old, Hako Yamasaki composed this album, demonstrating extraordinary emotional maturity and musical sensibility. The result was an absolute folk classic, impeccably arranged and sequenced.

Hako Yamasaki's folk is bluesy, psychedelic, gentle, and poetic, perfectly fitting the themes of nostalgia, love, and nature that she addresses with heartbreaking intensity. Her songs capture sadness sublimely, offering glimpses of hope and comforting wisdom. Her voice and approach are unique, and her music is, quite simply, magnificent.
