German duo Glaskin make their full EP debut on SHDW's Mutual Rytm imprint.

Glaskin are the alias of two brothers, Jonathan and Ferdinand, based in Munich. The pair have cemented themselves as a key figure in the city’s electronic music scene, being long-standing residents at the renowned Blitz Club, standing out as local talents in a vibrant electronic landscape. With a unique and visionary techno style, as they have showcased on their contributions to Mutual Rytm’s Federation Of Rytm II and III compilations in previous years, they now mark a new chapter and open 2025 in style with their 12” vinyl debut on the imprint, Inertia Of Motion. Each track on the EP has been carefully crafted using analogue gear, reflecting their distinctive artistic and sonic vision. The release is a direct result of the creative process behind their live set, which has become an integral part of the duo’s identity and showcases a natural evolution of their singular sound.

Hush Up kicks off with deep, elastic, and enveloping techno rhythms. The kicks are stripped back to a minimum and accompanied by pulsing synth patterns and spoken word fragments that add an unsettling touch. Double Tap elevates the intensity with classic, pumping deep techno, where intelligent filters generate movement as melodic lines drive forward with urgency. Inertia introduces a tenser atmosphere, with percussion and kicks precisely dialled in, while unsettling bell-like sounds resonate over a thick, twisted bassline. The brilliant Tank offers hypnotic and cyclical techno with dub chords and textured melodic lines that snake through the beats to great effect, while Motion is suspense-filled techno that locks you into a high-octane groove peppered with impactful stabs and kicks. Finally, the digital bonus Blushed Blue explores a minimal and nocturnal techno sound, warm, elegant, and hypnotic to close with a flourish.
