Every time Berlin-based label Sushitech returns with something new, it manages to outdo itself. It's a label dedicated to timeless dub, house, and techno from some of the genre's key names, and they always make sure that every release looks as good as it sounds.

The first release of the year comes from London pioneer Gideon Jackson and Tokinowa: Seven, a collection of music compiled over seven years, spanning the turn of the millennium.

Jackson was a pivotal figure in building the famous tech house sound of the early 2000s and undoubtedly influenced many of the artists who have emerged from that scene since then.

All the evidence is here: from the laid-back, mid-tempo allure of “Gids Tech House” to the acid-driven, somewhat psychedelic thrust loaded with 303 lines in “Acid For Tea.”
