Gary’s Garage - Gaz For Life EP [Gary's Garage]

Gary's Garage is back once again, like a renegade master, with four solid blocks of house and garage that will hardly end up in the 99p bin before 2027. After returning from a recent holiday at his brother Gary's pub in Benidorm, Gary fired up the Akai S950 for another 12-bit extravaganza. Luckily, his mate Derek loaned it to him, because Gary doesn't actually even own one.

Opening the EP, we have "Gary's XR3i", an ode to Gary's first car when he was pushing maxis for 2-grand advances and living the dream. This was also back in the day when Gary was a bit of a don in Streatham, at least in the two or three pubs he frequented, and many other garage chaps would ask him if he had any m(9) pad sounds they could buy off him on CD-R from his collection.

"Gary Is Lovin' The House" is a kick and clap banger that hits like a Greggs pasty after a long walk.

"Gaz To Life, Gaz To Reality" also brings kick, clap and pads, and finds Gary reminiscing about the good old days when clubs were actually good and pints were under £3 and blew your head off.

Finally, we close with "I'll Show You My Gary (If You Show Me Yours)", a phrase not suitable for use nowadays, so let's just finish this off.
