Frank & Tony - Understanding [Scissor & Thread]

Following the success of their EPs released last year on Scissor and Thread, Frank & Tony return with yet another deeper house journey consisting of a three-track EP, including an expansive collaboration with Comatonse artist Will Long.

The title track, "Understanding," nods to 90s Chicago deep house with a slow-burning groove that blends with soft pads and euphoric stabs that are sure to have dancefloors turning in the early hours of both night and morning alike. "We Begin," a dreamy journey of emotive soundscapes, ups the ante with jazzy nuances yet with a drive intended for peak-time moments as it unfolds into moods and grooves that linger.

The EP culminates with a sweeping reinterpretation of the same track in collaboration with Comatonse artist and DJ Sprinkles collaborator Will Long, taking the EP to psychedelic lengths as the essence of what we call a house groove reaches new idiosyncratic heights. Essential.
