The latest artist to join Nervous Records' _nrv series, known for its focus on tech-house, is Firesc, who recently delivered a solid EP for The Hague-based label Chippy Chasers.

The release kicks off with the unconventional minimalism of "Travelling Monk," an extensive 11-minute piece that skillfully combines sampled saxophones and dusty melodic passages with rhythms and textures reminiscent of Ricardo Villalobos' style. Side B opens with the equally expansive "Resiclaps," a weighty and darkly atmospheric tech-house composition driven by electro-break rhythms.

To close out the EP, Andrei Cubic contributes a remix that leans towards a more classic take on hypnotic tech-house, replete with echoing bleeps, deep dub sub-bass, crunchy drum machines, and watery textured riffs.
