Like the duo’s eponymous 2023 release, Refreshing Part 2 is a determined and intense collection of percussive techno that, at the same time, drives forward with a remarkable sense of groove and musicality.

The artists describe the concept behind this work as follows: “It’s not about resetting, but about finding balance. Refreshing means reconnecting with the present and with the future...focusing on one’s own path to prevent the flow from becoming automatic, uncontrolled and directionless. It is more an orientation than a route.”

The four tracks that make up this 12” are hypnotic immersions into a broad spectrum of club music. The rhythms and sound design guide the subconscious through visions where past, present, and future intertwine, reminding us that all moments coexist simultaneously.

Side A begins with the stripped-down intensity of The Way and continues into Elisir (Elixir), a piece that manages to convey a light and ethereal feeling without losing the power of its predecessor.

Side B opens with the forceful drive of Activate before giving way to the percussive elasticity of Family Tree, a track that closes the EP by evoking, both in its title and its sound, the way that what precedes us profoundly influences the present, even if we often only perceive it at a subconscious level.

The digital-exclusive track, Fixed in Flux, prolongs this reflection and expands the central themes of Refreshing Part 2 through new evocations of intention and movement: staying present within change, without opposing it, but also without completely dissolving into it.
