With the two-part EP Mediterranean Dreams, the Perugia-based producer and composer Feel Fly revisits his musical roots and pays homage to the sounds and “sun-drenched nostalgia” that defined his style.

Mediterranean Dreams Part 1 brought together four tracks where Feel Fly brought his characteristic touch: emotional chord progressions and layered production over cosmic disco grooves, with a powerful effect on the dancefloor. Now, with Mediterranean Dreams Part 2, he adjusts the tempo up and down to fully demonstrate his affinity for club moments of all shapes and dimensions.

Nebula takes off with full determination, evoking classic Detroit techno while further broadening the sonic perspective: it’s melodic and powerful dance music, attentive to details as much as to that expansive and affirmative feeling that envelops everything.

Optical Bells begins in a meditative tone, like a new dawn in a Tibetan monastery, before each element of the track slowly reveals itself and takes its place. It’s an arrangement technique that Feel Fly masterfully handles, giving the impression of a progressively focusing lens or a storyteller building the scene. The rotating chords entrap you and, as they transport you, invite you to engage with the moment, as if a mysterious stranger were asking you to dance.

The B-side opens with Luce Eterna Ai Sognatori, keeping the tempo high and combining disco house drum patterns with lightly Italo-flavored piano synths to create an irresistible dancefloor dessert. It’s a soundtrack for the sognatori, those for whom anything is possible in dreams.

The EP closes with a magnificent, echo-filled Balearic dub cut, titled Templum Dub. Pushing his mixing desk to the maximum, Feel Fly reanimates the drums with delays, phasers, and flangers, enveloping them in misty, floating pads that can accompany any moment of contemplation: from morning espresso to a midnight call.

Mediterranean Dreams Part 2 works as the perfect complement to its predecessor, Part 1, and shows a producer at the peak of his creativity, reimagining his musical roots and composing a love letter to the sounds and stories of his youth.
