Factory Floor - Tell Me [Phantasy Sound]

Following a sold-out UK tour, Factory Floor return to Phantasy with a new single, Tell Me.

As energetic and direct as any of the celebrated British electronic outfit’s previous releases, Tell Me further refines the dynamics of the current trio of Gabe Gurnsey, Nik Colk Void, and Joe Ward, with additional drum tracks by New Order’s Stephen Morris. Situated between the sonic promise of enduring indie culture and the avant-garde spirit that has always defined the band, the track features Colk Void’s inquiring vocal guiding the listener through an elastic, square-wave bass groove that forms the rhythmic backbone of Tell Me. It all culminates in an explosive flurry of frenetic percussive work from Gurnsey and Ward, unleashed with complete freedom, exemplifying the group’s unique alchemy between genres, scenes, the human and the mechanical.

Tell Me will be available digitally and as a limited 12” vinyl, housed in a risograph-printed sleeve and including an extended dancefloor mix. There will also be a Rough Trade exclusive edition with an alternative sleeve.
