Enrico Sangiuliano - Physical Change EP [NINETOZERO]

Following the monumental success of NINETOZERO’s last release – Enrico Sangiuliano and Charlotte de Witte’s ‘Reflection’ EP – the Emilia-native’s conceptual record label announces the next chapter in its release series.

The two-track EP titled ‘Physical Change’ is set to be released on the time-limited imprint on May 5th, ahead of Enrico’s SOLO show at 99 Scott in New York on May 13th. Having previously explored the notion of silence, space and reflection throughout his NINETOZERO catalogue, Sangiuliano’s new chapter analyses the concept of change in all its forms. Tied into the roots of NINETOZERO’s overarching theme, which is time, the forthcoming opus expresses the narrative of mutation and evolution in sound. Both the obvious and imperceptible changes are inevitable, shaped by the uniqueness of the surroundings, the ear, and how it is emitted.

Much like physical and chemical change, metamorphosis in sound is the only constant, despite our inability to recognise some of these microscopic variations. Enrico’s impulse to create music with conceptual value stems from a resolute commitment to the progression of our beloved scene, and as such, has allowed him to traverse the expanse of electronic music in the most liberating of ways. The two productions present themselves as distinct techno cuts, yet they possess the melodic intricacies we’ve come to know and love in Enrico’s unparalleled output. Undeniably classy and utterly refined, the extended player is set to follow in the footsteps of NINETOZERO’s previous successes.
