Drumcode has become a label synonymous with cutting-edge and visionary techno over the past 20 years. Their catalog includes both emerging and established artists, and one of the most recognized is Enrico Sangiuliano, who is now announcing the first conceptual album of his career. The prolific Italian producer has been propelled into the spotlight after the overwhelming success of his previous releases, and now Biomorph is born, a very special conceptual album designed to take the listener on a journey of evolution.
This is a musical adaptation that describes how biological and technological advancements across countless generations have started from the same initial point in our own biological history. Divided into four parts, Organisms opens the journey with atmospheric tones that intertwine with complex textures and timbres to initiate the evolutionary process. This section begins with full sonic arrangements before reducing everything to its most basic form. From there, it dissolves into the atmosphere. Organisms then moves into a slower-tempo, breakbeat-influenced track, using synthesizers that add complexity to the broken and linear rhythms.
Galactic and futuristic elements dominate the two tracks that make up Cosmic Forces. Animated and groovy electronic synthesizers resonate until Hidden T brings tension with stratospheric twists and spirals, culminating in one of the most intensely deep drops imaginable.
Metamorphosis is mysterious; its initial rhythm is a deep, penetrating tone that awakens the listener's sensory perception, before breaking into a fully charged techno track, with Enrico's characteristic textures and sounds.
Every evolution has an end. Two Probabilities shows the positive side with an evocative and emotional start, accompanied by a gentle harmony that looks towards a "New Dawn". On the other side of the spectrum is the negative aspect: a rhythmic structure that articulates the heartbeat of death, with a mathematical, cold, and metallic texture, evidencing its own unsustainability, culminating in a chaotic and anxious breakbeat-influenced ending.
