Ira James continues with the excellent curation of his outstanding Vessel Recordings label, here presenting a new three-track EP by a pair of legends. Doc Martin and Joeski are house royalty from way back, and they open with 'Join Hands,' a laid-back tech house tune with rolling kicks and majestic piano chords that bring a real emotional charge alongside a passionate vocal. 'It’s Time' strips things back to let a funky, organic-sounding bassline shine beneath sharp percussion, while 'Roots' has a more accented swing, with organic effects and crisp snares adding detail to the production.
