R&S proudly present their new signing, Felix Manuel, aka Djrum.

Djrum is an artist that has been consistently critically acclaimed in the underground since his first release in 2010, quietly building a following that reads like a who's who of contemporary electronic music.

As an artist, Djrum has garnered a reputation for his unique genre bending fusion of everything from Jazz, Hip Hop & Dubstep through to Ambient and Techno. His music is steeped in oceanically deep bass heavy beats, cavernous atmospheres and deeply emotive melodies. An accomplished DJ, his compositional approach feels like a natural collage of his influences, leading him to release on labels such as the Zenker Brothers' Ilian Tape as well as the influential 2nd Drop, as well as remixes for Ninja Tune and Domino.

Now Felix steps up to R&S with one of his most visionary releases to date. Deeply meditative melodies weave through fractured beats and pulsing bass, hypnotic pads and diffuse atmospheres. Manuel's music manages to maintain the urgency and dynamic pressure of the dance floor, whilst retaining the intimacy and elegant detail of the finest headphone listening music.

A natural fit for R&S, a full length Djrum album is already in the pipeline for 2018 — all signs point to an exciting year ahead.
