DJ Steaw - Seascape EP [Nu Groove Records]

Underground hero and label head DJ Steaw makes his Nu Groove debut with Seascape EP, a four-track odyssey of soulful, deep house. With over 12 years in the game, the respected DJ and producer is known for his hypnotic sets, gracing iconic stages such as Tresor in Berlin, fabric in London, Shelter in Amsterdam and across his home country of France. A multi-genre and influence-spanning electronic tastemaker, DJ Steaw has founded labels House Puff Records, Steaward, and Rutilance Records, the latter with vinyl collector Gunnter. Backed by the likes of Chris Stussy, this four-track EP fits perfectly into the ethos of the legendary New York imprint.

Opening with the powerful stabs of 'Take It There', Seascape EP journeys through the producer’s signature deep bass-driven sound, as well as a variety of influences that expand his sonic spectrum. The title track 'Seascape' blends ethereal pads with shimmering, dynamic percussion, whilst 'Close To You' and 'Exotica' reinforce a nostalgic and recognizable aesthetic, ideal for both the dancefloor and dreamy immersion.
