This is Charles Webster, under his DJ Profile alias, originally released in 1997. 'Prove It' sounds as good today as it ever did – it’s house without edges, with dusty drums layered with a vocal sample and muted chord work that fills the heart and soul. Flip it over and you get something larger and rawer. 'Realization' has ripping acid lines and off-kilter drums, whilst a pixelated melodic rain rises and falls. It's a classic that many will recognise without ever having known what it is.
