Detroit House and Techno legend and founder of Women on Wax, DJ Minx, is set to release her debut EP 'Energy' on Rekids on February 13, 2026. This release follows her 2025 appearances at the House of Rekids series and the label's showcase at Panorama Bar in Berlin, before closing out the year with a remix of Radio Slave & Kameelah Waheed’s 'All Rize.' Renowned for uplifting women in the music industry, especially Detroit DJs and producers, Minx enlists two-time Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Kendra Foster from Florida for the title track, a powerful cut brimming with jacking attitude. Punchy drums, bright synth stabs, and Foster’s inspiring vocals elevate the energy, while on 'You Can,' Minx delivers a motivational spoken word narrative over a deep groove and a thick, enveloping bassline that drives the track forward.

DJ Minx has been a pivotal figure in Detroit's musical history since the 90s. She has hosted radio shows on WGPR and CJAM, held a residency at Club Motor, and performed at every Movement festival since 2000. Her career has been recognized with the Spirit of Detroit Award, as well as accolades from Mixmag and Time Out. Her recent achievements include her 'Queendom' EP on HE.SHE.THEY., an Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1, releases on Planet E and Rules Don’t Apply, collaborations with Kevin and Dantiez Saunderson as e-Dancer, and headlining performances worldwide.
