Dj Aakmael - Numbers Game EP [Unxpozd Entertainment]

This new Unxpozd release was a little while in the making, but well worth the wait, as once again DJ Aakmael proves his class in deep house. 6minutes opens with those late night, whimsical chords that make you drift off to dreamland as the grooves, amiably lazy, slide in. Just A Track pt. 8 showcases Aakmael’s sampling skills, chopping up sounds alongside some fine jazzy keys. You won’t find a more luxuriant and smooth groove than the gently cosmic Track 123, while Autumn is perfectly stripped down, with powerful kicks, slowly ascending chords and a touch of Kerri Chandler’s soul thanks to a gospel-inspired vocal hook.
