Portuguese techno veteran Dextro presents the sophisticated EP 'Covil Dos Abutres' on his debut for the Mutual Rytm label.

Dextro has been immersed in electronic music and the art of DJing since the early 90s. In the decades that followed, he has become synonymous with a sound deeply rooted in simplicity and authenticity. Driven by a genuine passion for his craft, his creative process is guided by intuition and encompasses a wide range of styles, from hypnotic and immersive grooves to more powerful techno, with deep and suggestive layers. He has held residencies at several key clubs and released music on renowned labels such as CLR and Missile Records. Now he adds a new milestone with his first release on SHDW's label Mutual Rytm, with 'Covil Dos Abutres'.

The EP, presented on five-track vinyl and an eight-track digital version, unfolds an elegant and refined style, exploring different corners of the techno spectrum. 'Covil Dos Abutres' is a transmission from deep space, with fluid, frictionless rhythms adorned by subtle sci-fi motifs that evoke the classic touches of the genre's pioneers. 'Correct Incorrect' maintains the pressure with elastic and dub grooves, embellished with delicate melodies. 'Vida E Morte' offers another sublime delivery of hypnotic minimal techno, with funky kicks and a mysterious early morning energy. 'Element One' combines reduced rhythmic patterns with atmospheric pads and intriguing samples that hold attention, while 'Beautiful Day' closes with sonar-like synthetic pulses over minimalist but mesmerizing rhythms.
