Detroit Rising Remixes: Jimpster, Sean McCabe, Kaidi Tatham

The "Detroit Rising Rocket Love Remix" EP is an exciting Soulful House and Nu-Jazz album from London's top DJ/Producers. Jimpster, Kaidi Tatham, Sean McCabe with Z Records (Dave Lee), and EVM128 from CoOp Presents. Mastering was done by UK wizard AtJazz.

First, Jimpster remixes Detroit Rising's space opera, "Rocket Love," with 2 funk-infused house tracks, featuring guitar riffs from Duminie Deporres (Public Enemy) and basslines from Kern Brantley (Mary J Blige, Beyonce, Aretha Franklin). The dreamy Dub version has an infectious hook and melody.

Next, Sean McCabe was called upon by Dave Lee of Z Records to remix Detroit's original hit, "Little Bit of Love," into an up-tempo dancefloor heater.

Keyboard king Kaidi Tatham remixes 2 different tracks infused with P-funk musicians. "Our World" features P-funk keyboard wizard and vocalist Danny Bedrosian, along with George Clinton's granddaughter, Tonysha Nelson.

The emotional and soulful brilliance of "Peace & Harmon" also gets the Kaidi treatment, starring Sue Ann Carwell of Prince fame and Steve Boyd of Kool & the Gang and P-funk.

Finally, EVM128 of CoOp Presents fame closes out the album with a fast-paced, futuristic Bruk rendition of Detroit Rising's romantic cut, "Gorgeous."
