The debut album by Mexican duo Destino Sonido—made up of electronic music veteran Juan Soto and emerging vocalist Labibe—blends disco attitude, classic funk spirit, synth-pop touches, and a delicious pop instinct. "Seducción Galáctica" has some of Vince Clarke's minimalist magic, while the closing track, "Oscuridad (You Man Remix)," adds an epic feel without losing its sparkle or accessibility. Dan Solo appears on two tracks, Krofon collaborates on "Amándote," and Monsieur Van Pratt reinterprets "Playa, Sol Y Amor" into a robo-disco bomb. By not following anyone's rules, this album is, from beginning to end, a huge and fun ride.
