Dennis Cruz - Freaks (Incl. Joeski Remix) [Hot Creations]

Next up on Hot Creations is intrepid Spaniard Dennis Cruz. The award-winning DJ and producer drops dancefloor dynamite this June, calling on the production expertise of New York’s Joeski for remix duties.

Lead track, Freaks, is deep and driving, with its almost drawling vocal, perfect for those 4 am vibes when the “freaks” come out to play. Mother Fcker* makes use of heavier percussion, accompanied by a thumping bassline. Joeski’s rework of Freaks adds a touch of prominent hi-hats as the producer smooths out that unmistakable bassline. Dennis explains, “This EP is the style of music I love to play and produce. It’s what I feel most comfortable with, and what I think defines my sound.”

Dennis Cruz has been deeply entrenched in the music scene from a young age. He first tried his hand at playing music at 17. Since then, he has produced tracks for prominent labels such as Moon Harbour, Solid Grooves, Snatch!, and Nervous Records. His records have been backed by some of the biggest DJs in the industry, from Jamie Jones to Loco Dice, and from Nic Fanciulli to Marco Carola. Additionally, he has received recognition from Radio 1, Mixmag, and DJ Mag. Added to this are multiple awards and nominations from Beatport, Resident Advisor, Vicious, and the DJ Awards accolade for Best Producer.
