Semi Delicious returns with its 19th installment via label founder Demi Riquisimo’s Perilous Joy EP. This 5-track release effortlessly blends classic influences that are synonymous with the Semi Delicious sound, whilst maintaining a forward-thinking proposition for the dancefloor. The A side includes Sinewinder and Direct Fix, two four-on-the-floor tools that stand out for both their functionality and unique sound. Sinewinder is a track more influenced by the diva style and for large spaces, while Direct Fix opts for a deeper sound with a striking bass line. The B side kicks off with the title track Perilous Joy, which nods to the dreamy Italian progressive house sound of yesteryear. Then comes Thyme After Time, bringing a depth of psychedelic house. Demi slows down the tempo on the Balearic Autoglide to close out another impressive delivery from one of 2024’s most talked about labels.
