Delfonic - OYE Edits [Razor-N-Tape]

The Razor 'N' Tape crew have looked to Berlin for inspiration, rather than Brooklyn. As the title suggests, the man in charge this time round is Oye Records founder Markus "Delfonic" Lindner. He kicks things off with "The Flow", a deliciously loved-up interpretation of one of disco-soul's sweetest, loosest and most heartwarming cuts. While undeniably floor-friendly, there's no attempt to needlessly up the tempo, with Lindner's additional percussion tending towards the subtle and reverential. Those looking for something a little sweatier should check the disco-funk hustle of "SPF" (which comes complete with some seriously spacey synth solos) and Lindner's superb re-edit of a lesser-known version of O'Jays classic "I Love Music".
