Swiss techno legend Deetron shows his class with a new four-track EP on X, Mutual Rytm’s sub-label.

Deetron is one of the most respected producers of his time. From elegant house to deep techno, he brings impeccable sound design and melodic elegance to his work, staying true to his characteristic and authentic sound. He always delivers quality, whether releasing under his Soulmate alias on labels like Ilian Tape or via imprints such as Axis and Music Man, and that quality is once again on display across this new EP via SHDW’s Mutual Rytm sub-label.

First up, ‘Translate Rhythms’ blends jazzy detuned melodies into a deep, fast, and elegant techno groove. It is a colourful and playful sound with serious impact. ‘Cause’ offers a more focused and sombre sound, with walls of drums and bass rolling beneath raw percussion loops and precise vocal stabs that elevate energy levels. The fantastic ‘Move’ brings grainy pads, an inescapable bassline, and slamming drum loops that create an unmovable block of serious, concrete techno-funk. Finally, bonus digital cut ‘Orbit’ heads for the stars with a deep space vibe, swirling pads, and minimal drums that lay down a vibrant groove.
