Swiss producer Deetron returns to legendary NYC imprint Nu Groove with a two-track release, 'Runnin' / AM_909'. Inspired by Detroit-born techno and soulful house, Deetron’s subtle sound is a testament to his knowledge of house music’s golden era, one that helped him relaunch Nu Groove alongside NYC house legend Jovonn in 2021. Now returning to one of house’s most respected labels, 'Runnin’' opens this package of originals, delivering a sharp house cut with a hybrid piano and synth loop that builds into ecstasy, as residual noise is deftly manipulated to give and release tension. 'AM_909' similarly uses loops, this time with a more dream-like quality that sustains.
