Swiss producer Deetron returns to legendary New York imprint Nu Groove with a two-track release, 'Runnin' / AM_909'. Inspired by the soulful techno and house born out of Detroit, Deetron's understated sound is a testament to his knowledge of house's golden era, one which saw him help relaunch Nu Groove alongside legendary New York house don Jovonn in 2021. Now returning to one of house's most respected labels, 'Runnin'' opens this package of originals, delivering a sharp house cut with an exhilarating hybrid piano-synth loop that builds into ecstasy, whilst residual noise is expertly manipulated to give and release tension. 'AM_909' uses loops in a similar fashion, this time with a more dreamlike quality that lingers.
