Two 2024 remixes of classic records appear on vinyl for the first time on this four-track package from Soulfuric; Richard Earnshaw’s remix of Deepstar’s ‘Sugar’ and Groove Assassin’s version of Melba Moore’s ‘My Heart Belongs To You’. The opening cut features classically trained and soulful house master Richard Earnshaw’s take on Deepstar’s ‘Sugar’, featuring American dance vocalist Donna Allen, originally by Marc Pomeroy, fka one half of Jazz N Groove, appearing on wax alongside the groove and soul-filled vocal mix. On the flip, the acclaimed Grammy-nominated and Tony Award-winning singer and actress Melba Moore’s classic ‘My Heart Belongs To You’ is given pride of place in all its glory. Respected DJ and producer Groove Assassin remixes this classic track for the more discerning house heads, with his signature spin appearing alongside the classic Ron Carroll, BMC Vocal Classical edit which accompanied the release back in 2005.
