DEAS - Formation EP [Planet Rhythm]

Nowhere is techno made as authentically as at Planet Rhythm. This latest 12" is another unadorned success, with oxidized synths and menacing drum loops, all perfectly intertwined. 'Formation' has a sense of hurried funk that keeps you on edge, while 'Basel' is supercharged with video game-style synths. 'Romance' gets more intense and brings industrial percussion and automation to the beats, while 'Here' delves into hard-hitting, repetitive house, the kind that reminds us of the incomparable Floorplan.
