Over the past 24 years, Scott Monteith's Deadbeat project has encompassed a dazzling array of musical references and genres, exploring everything from cutting-edge reggae and downtempo experiments, to purifying drone and ambient noise excursions, international-level percussion sessions, and hypnotic techno and house.

On his first solo album in 5 years, Monteith delivers what is perhaps the most potent and dancefloor-focused album of his distinguished career, and a purifying and soulful soundtrack to the fears and difficulties of a world gone mad, titled "Kübler-Ross Soliloquies".

The Kübler-Ross model describes the five stages of grief: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. A soliloquy is defined as an act of expressing one's thoughts aloud, alone and regardless of who is listening.

Across the album's 8 tracks, Monteith explores each of these stages with a clear focus and confidence that are a testament to his dual role as a kind and smiling musical selector and a high-level monastic tech geek.
