Launched as the eighth edition in the series, ‘EP8’ stays true to its commitment to bringing Defected’s biggest digital releases to vinyl, delivering a standout package of house previously unavailable in this format. ‘EP8’ features four of Defected’s early releases of the decade, kicking off with David Penn’s collaboration with renowned house vocalist Roland Clark, ‘The Power’, on the A-Side. Roland Clark’s powerful spoken word narrative paired with David’s rolling bassline and percussive chops combine to create a heartfelt and uplifting track. Up next, Italian duo Supernova present their dancefloor cut ‘Can’t Stand It’, featuring LA vocalist Marley Monroe who delivers her sublime top-line melodic. With influences of Chicago house, Supernova’s track is a groover from start to finish.
